TGIF: A Friday Attitude

No Mountain will hold me back

Happy Friday!!!

Today, try to have a Grateful Heart! Friday is the beginning of the weekend. Friday is payday for most of the working population. Friday is the day that most people have a sense of increased excitement for a number of reasons.

“Mindfulness Activity”

Take a few minutes to focus on how you feel as you began to realize that tomorrow is Friday.  That feeling that you are experiencing at this moment would you like to feel this way everyday.

You should try to be more in control of how you feel and how you respond to life on a daily basis. Just know that you attitude affects how you feel. Your attitude affects how you interact with others. Your attitude affects how well you perform at work/school.

I encourage each of you to start your day with making declarations and positive affirmations over your life and your day.

If you are having difficulty in this area, today I will share a series of Positive Affirmations that you can say aloud before you start your day.

Positive Affirmations Tips 

Positive Affirmations should be practiced and focused on for several weeks.

Choose one or two to focus on for two or more weeks. Remember to repeat them out loud and in a firm voice.

Say them early in the morning and prior to going to bed.

Easter (He Rose That I Might Live )

Happy Easter…. Many Many years ago, Jesus was wounded for our transgressions. He gave his life that I might Live…. That was “Love” By his stripes I am healed!

I do not take this day lightly. The day that is set aside to recognize how he gave his life. “Resurrection Sunday ”

Today our family was together and we were able to attend church together and for that I am also grateful for that as well… God is Good… He is our source and has made provision for what we need . We just have to trust him and believe.

I have learned that we have to stick with what you know… God has not changed. His word has not changed. The world has changed and is going through a lot of transitions but it is important not to get sidetracked.

Distractions come to try and block purpose, but the word that has been spoken will come to past.

Stay with what you know … Live the Life that God has called you to from the beginning… He has a great plan for your life… He died that you might Live!

Happy Sunday.  Today is one of the best days of the week. A day of worship, rest and family.   I was super excited to be able to attend church as well as I had the opportunity to carry my bag that was given to me as a gift Since I have not been working, I was wondering when I would be able to use the beautiful bag. I finally decided that It would be perfect for church and ministry work.


I continue to practice what I preach ” look better than you feel.”  After church, I had my daughter to get a few quick pictures of me.

The Best Turmeric & Ginger


Recently I began to struggle more in my health, so I have decided to pay closer attention to my diet.

I have added several new  key ingredients that I have found to have very great benefits to decreasing inflammation as well as helping to relax and provide energy. I was also told at  my most recent visit that I was once a again vitamin D deficient.  I am currently on the highest dosage of vitamin D taking one time per week.

This new recipe that I would like to share.

Turmeric Energy Boost

1 knot of fresh ginger root (peeled)

1/4 cup of lemon

1/2 teaspoon of honey

1/4 teaspoon of ginger (I used one capsule-recommended daily dosage)

1 cup of 100% white grape juice ( original recipe called for coconut water)

add some ice cubes

Blend all ingredients together and drink….Enjoy

makes one serving.

Adding Moisture: Natural Hair


Natural hair tends to dry easily and it is necessary for us to work on a consistent basis to keep our hair moisturized.

If your hair is not moisturized, you have increased risk of shedding and breakage. I have picked my top favorites that you can use with your at home care to help you to combat dryness and shedding. Have you tried any of these products? If so what were your experiences?

If you are participating in the #90dayhairgrowthchallenge, I recommend that you are on a consistent schedule for moisturizing your hair.

Develop a routine that works for you and your schedule.

Try to follow it as your hair will become trained.
