“Self care is what people do for themselves to establish and maintain health and to prevent and deal with illness ”
Other definitions refer to self care as activities done to enhance health, prevent disease, limit illness and restore overall health .
A simple definition of self care is doing what is necessary to take care of you.
Many of us have multiple roles and duties and we find the attention being off of taking care of ourselves which in turn leads to health issues that causes us to stop. Therefore it is vital that we set aside time to take care of ourselves.
