Christmas is the time of the year to be spent with family and friends. A time to enjoy each other and have a good time. Sometimes all of the gatherings and shopping can become overwhelming and take the JOY out of the Holiday.

Remember the reason that we celebrate.

Jesus is the reason for the season.Celebration of his birth.

Because he was born were are all entitled to eternal life. St. John 3:16

Here a  few tips tips to help you to take care of yourself and have a better holiday season.
1.Don’t get caught in the hustle and bustle of the season.
2.Do things in moderation.
3.Give yourself permission to Rest and say “NO” to some activities.
4.Take a cat nap.

5.Reflect on the current year to create a better vision for the year ahead.
6. Take care of your body.
7. Focus on one thing or task at a time.

Self Care -How do you define Selfcare?

Self Care is any intentional plan to take care of your own personal needs(Self).

The question today is how do you define self care? Many things in life are viewed differently based on the interpretation of the individual.

According to some it’s is defined

as “to treat yourself”.

According to the World Health Organization(The WHO)

“Self care is what people do for themselves to establish and maintain health and to prevent and deal with illness ”

Other definitions refer to self care as activities done to enhance health, prevent disease, limit illness and restore overall health .

A simple definition of self care is doing what is necessary to take care of you.

Many of us have multiple roles and duties and we find the attention being off of taking care of ourselves which in turn leads to health issues that causes us to stop.  Therefore it is vital that we set aside time to take care of our selves.

Some points to keep in mind:

  1. Have a creative outlet
  2. Schedule “MeTime”
  3.  Learn to say “No”
  4. Have Balance between work , family & self.
  5. Accept that it is okay to slow down
  6. Learn to Laugh
  7. Refame Failure
  8. Keep and Attitude of Gratitude
  9. Maintian your Spirtual Wellbeing ( prayer and reflection)
  10. Avoid negativity
